Astronomy and the Bible

...another book I'm reading that I'll have to jot some notes down from.

2 John

I read 2 John today. I like these short little books where you can just sit down and read them like a letter... and that's exactly what it was.

I have never noticed this verse before:

2 John 12: [I have] many things to write to you, [but] I do not want to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that your joy may be made full.

There is something about face to face communication that outdoes written communication. I think this is true for verbal communication as well. Email just doesn't do it. Phone calls can't even do it. They are worthwhile and useful tools, but nothing compares to a face to face visit from a beloved friend.
